rainy days with Harry Potter

Hey everyone how’s it going?

It’s raining cats and dogs here in the Philippines and most of us are busy staying tune at news. We also lose internet connection and electricity because of the nonstop rain. However, we are still fortunate to have the lights back after our dinner.

Really, I was afraid of floods but never to storm=’)

Since we got the lights back I immediately charge everything and continue my plans of watching the whole Harry Potter movies from 3-6. Gratefully,I succeed!

I watch the whole thing for 12 good hours. Haven’t start watching 7and 8 and no plans on spending my whole night again with Harry ‘coz I do predict that I do have some classes tomorrow since the rain fades.

On the other hand, I badly wanted to read the books and planning to get the box set.Although it will cost me my allowance for 3 months or so I think that Harry Potter books are worth reading.

Books are always better than movies=)

HELL NO!

A BIG, BIG NO!

People knew that 50 shades is a “lovely porn” made for women’s pleasures. Fifty Shades of Grey is full of Dom/Sub scenes which is very inappropriate for young audiences. Even if filmmakers make it R-18 or X rated, once illegal copies went viral through the net, teenagers (the most curious stage of humans) will get to see it!

UGH!

Besides, movies ruins the stories of the books=/

Fifty Shades of Grey is an erotic romance novel written by a British author named E.L James.

I grab and read these books (bought it as a box set) not because it is erotic (perhaps a little) or used as a sexual manual. NO.NO.NO.

This book was criticized and sued by many Twilight fans because the story was actually based from Stephenie Meyer’s: Twilight saga. In short, Fifty Shades is a just mere fanfiction.

I, myself is a TwiFan and do notice the similarity of the books from Twilight.

I’ve finished the first one which is Fifty Shades of Grey and nearly halfway on Fifty Shades Darker.

Loving the book because of Christian and Anastasia’s love for each other that they felt for such less time. Christian Grey’s past is very intriguing that made me do what-if’s and what-was queries inside my head. Though I don’t really like the bondage and pain thing. It’s kinda traumatic and perhaps unrealistic at the same time.

Have seen blogs and videos regarding how these books influenced women to open their minds and hearts for BDSM. Ugh! Seriously?!

I just really can’t take too much sex scenarios of these books but I can’t even put them down or skip the icky things when I’m reading them. Telling myself to and fro to open my mind to this things even though they really are too lascivious.

I also notice that E.L James do repeat words and expressions on every chapters/ pages of the books like: frown, sardonic, palpable and so on and so forth.

I do recommend Fifty Shades of Grey for 18+ readers and romance/erotic lovers.

I just wished that bookstores will keep this book away to teenage girls.NO TO TOO MUCH CURIOSITY. Government can’t really mend nor help big population

Aw, Midterm week is in the air and I feel lacking of knowledge on some of my subjects. Well, most of my subjects are boring and really not my line especially those Broadcasting Media and Journalist thing. Luckily, my professor in those particular languid subjects are fond of define-this-and that and enumerate-the-following so I can at least guarantee my Intro to Broadcast Journalism Laws and Ethics.

World literature is more on defining what is literature, the basic genre’s of literature and the difference among World, American and English Literature. Cool course, however, I was really looking forward on discussing “LITERARY WORKS” and not just defining and differentiating the basics. Good heavens, we have 18 weeks and hence those weeks are just given by the basics.

BCTRW, Developmental Reading and Afro-Asian are tough, tough, tough dudes=/

Creative Writing is challenging and Aesthetics can be handled easily.

AISH!! really worried what will I answer on my Developmental Reading course since my prof there really suck and doesn’t even focus on teaching us the lectures of the course*A*
